Sure, it’s easier to hit the snooze button sometimes in the morning, but I’ve come to LOVE my morning time and it’s so early to get up a little earlier than everyone else. The house is quiet, still, and cozy. I get a chance to listen to the stillness and not have anything to do or anyone needing me.

It’s the perfect time to sit and read my Bible, as well as get a few things done around the house that I didn’t get to the day before or that are easier to do when it’s quiet.
So, what does my morning routine look like? Here ya go…
- Alarm usually goes off at 5:30am and I go to brush my teeth and wash my face
- I make my coffee, grab my Bible and sit on the couch with my favorite lamp and start my morning there.
- Start a load of laundry or fold anything from yesterday that needs to be folded. (I have a laundry schedule you can check out HERE).
- Meal plan for the week, check the menu board to see whats for dinner, and get dinner started. If I don’t begin cooking right then, I grab the dry ingredients from the pantry that I’ll need for dinner and have them out on the counter or I’ll start the crockpot.
- Check on my flower beds and tomato plants (yes, I’m that old lady who looks at her yard in the mornings).
- Work on any social media or blog projects I currently have.

I’ve found when I stick to my morning routine, my entire day goes better. How about you – do you have a morning schedule?
